Job Responsibilities
- Review SLDs, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Supervise erection of gantry, busbar, circuit breakers, CT/VT, LA, isolators, and control panels.
- Plan site work schedule, manpower, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct routine and pre-commissioning tests (IR, CR, ratio, CT/VT, CB timing, relay settings).
- Coordinate with EPC, client, and consultant to ensure timely project completion.
- Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and support final handover.
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS and LOTO procedures.
Required Skills

Join POWER AID as an Assistant Engineer and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch electrical engineering solutions. We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of high voltage substations, ranging from 11 kV to 400 kV GIS/AIS.About the Role:As an Assistant Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:Reviewing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.Supervising the erection of critical components such as gantries, busbars, circuit breakers, CT/VT, LA, isolators, and control panels.Planning site work schedules, including manpower allocation and equipment mobilization.Conducting routine and pre-commissioning tests such as insulation resistance testing (IR), continuity resistance (CR), and relay settings to ensure functionality.Coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams, clients, and consultants to facilitate timely project completion.Preparing comprehensive reports and maintaining thorough documentation to support project handover and compliance with regulations.Ensuring strict adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.Who You Are:You should possess the following qualifications and experience:A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.2-5 years of relevant experience in engineering firms, particularly in the field of substation erection and testing.Proficiency in reviewing technical documents and conducting electrical tests.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain open communication with stakeholders.This is not just an engineering position; it’s an opportunity to contribute to significant projects that shape the energy landscape.
