Education Requirements

Job Responsibilities

• Learn advanced mechanical systems and rolling mill technologies to build long-term technical capability by participating in training, observing senior engineers, and applying best practices in operations.
• Assist in mechanical equipment in the rolling mill and meltshop to ensure stable production by observing load, vibration, temperature, and lubrication, and reporting deviations for corrective action.
• Assist in mechanical maintenance activities to minimize unplanned breakdowns by supporting senior engineers, following standard maintenance schedules, and applying mechanical knowledge.
• Inspect gearboxes, motors, hydraulic systems, ladle furnaces, and rolling stands to detect wear, leakage, or abnormal operation.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical breakdowns in rolling stands, cranes, EAF auxiliaries, and meltshop equipment to reduce downtime by identifying root causes, replacing faulty components, and following guided solutions.
• Assist in commissioning, alignment, and preventive maintenance of new mechanical systems to ensure reliable performance.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure billets and rolled products meet specifications.
• Monitor lubrication, water-cooling, and hydraulic systems to ensure energy efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Follow plant safety standards to prevent accidents in high-risk areas by complying with lockout-tagout procedures.
• Maintain mechanical equipment logs and shift reports for continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Theoretical knowledge of steel plant operations
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings
• Willingness to work in a shift-based factory environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
