Job Description
Way Group is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the role of Assistant General Manager - Construction at Way Housing Pvt Ltd. This position combines leadership, engineering expertise, and managerial skills aimed at delivering high-quality results in our construction projects. In this prestigious role, you will: Assist the Chief Engineer in various official works including preparing official circulars, letters, budgets, specifications, reports, and tracking all necessary papers, including drawings and maintaining our common email communications. Coordinate with consultants through the Planning Department to address all drawings including Architectural, Structural, and MEP concerns regarding construction issues. Collaborate with team members such as architects, structural engineers, plumbing engineers, and electrical engineers to provide necessary guidance on project issues. Prepare materials specifications for ongoing and upcoming projects and work with our Customer Care department for approval. Maintain communication with other departments regarding various technical information about building construction issues, including relations with public relations for technical data and with the accounts department regarding work orders. Generate fire-fighting drawings and coordinate with the coordination department to implement these works according to approved designs. Keep records and follow up on decisions regarding various internal meetings about the engineering team. Be fully responsible for the construction processes and team interactions. Effectively communicate with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to address quality issues and ensure project alignment with company standards. Adhere to industry standards, building codes, safety regulations, and our internal company policies. Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality-related activities while generating timely reports for management. Job Requirements Successful candidates will have: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Master's degree preferred. 12 to 15 years of relevant experience preferably in Real Estate and Development. Proficiency in BOQ analysis, civil construction methodologies, and in using software like AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and comprehensive knowledge in basement construction and high-rise structures. Excellent communication and coordination skills to lead a diverse team. Male candidates aged between 35 to 45 years are preferred. Benefits Attractive salary of Tk. 80,000 - 120,000 per month.
