Job Description
Join the dynamic team at Simba Fashions Ltd. as the Assistant General Manager - Quality. This pivotal role requires a committed individual who can ensure the highest quality standards in our production processes. Located in Narayanganj, Bangladesh, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality assurance throughout all stages of our fashion production.As the Assistant General Manager of Quality, your main responsibilities will include:Supervising and managing all quality assurance activities from cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, packing to shipment.Developing and enforcing SOPs, quality systems, and inspection procedures at each production stage.Ensuring inline and final audits are conducted as per buyer protocols.Taking corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) on quality issues in collaboration with production and merchandising teams.Interfacing with buyers’ QA teams and auditors for quality inspections and technical discussions.Ensuring compliance of all products with customer standards, technical files, and AQL levels.Maintaining audit records and documentation for compliance with buyer and internal requirements.Leading and managing the Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams across all departments.In addition, you will:Conduct regular training sessions for inspectors, supervisors, and line staff on quality awareness and best practices.Build a strong quality culture throughout departments.Investigate root causes of quality defects and initiate action plans for resolution.Monitor rejection and rework levels while implementing strategies to minimize these.Collaborate closely with the production team to eliminate any process bottlenecks affecting quality.Monitor and report key quality metrics such as DHU%, rejection%, rework%, and AQL performance.Prepare periodic MIS reports for senior management.Implement Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen practices to drive improvement in quality and reduce waste.Drive ongoing continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with production and planning departments.This position requires a strong set of skills:Proficient with AQL standards and practices.Solid analytical skill and experience with textiles and garments.Fluency in MS Office.Outstanding people management and problem-solving abilities.The ideal candidate is expected to have:At least 15 years of experience in quality assurance, particularly in garments, buying houses, dyeing, and washing factories.Age between 35 to 50 years.If you're ready to impact quality assurance in the textile industry, we encourage you to apply today!
