Job Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual) in line with accounting standards.
- Prepare banking-related reports and projected financial statements as required.
- Develop and prepare a short-term and long-term budgetary plan and cost management.
- Conduct extensive variance analysis between actual versus budgeted figures and present findings to management.
- Provide guidance to team regarding Financial Reporting, Budget Control, Audit, Corporate Tax and VAT issues.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and financial policies of the organization.

Job Description
About the Role: As an integral part of the financial team, the Assistant Manager/ Manager in Accounts & Finance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of SHODESH GROUP. We're seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to manage our financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting efforts. This role requires a robust understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to compliance with statutory regulations. Prepare comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis in alignment with accounting standards. Generate banking-related reports alongside projected financial statements as needed. Develop and manage both short-term and long-term budgetary plans while focusing on cost management strategies. Conduct extensive variance analysis between actuals and budgeted figures, presenting findings to management and suggesting improvements. Guide direct reports on financial reporting processes, budget controls, audits, and tax compliance. Ensure adherence to all legal and organizational financial policies in relation to statutory/regulatory requirements. Oversee vendor payment processes and maintain accurate records for all financial transactions. Identify and analyze financial risks to minimize potential impacts on the organization. Foster accurate long-term financial forecasting that syncs with production and inventory management strategies. Conduct factory and depot visits for thorough financial oversight. Complete special tasks assigned by management effectively and efficiently. Qualifications: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Accounting. Preferred qualification includes ACA or ACMA (Partly Qualified) from a recognized university. Experience: Proven work experience in domestic and international freight or global shipping and logistics industries will be given preference. Expertise in financial reporting forecasting, internal controls, and budgeting is essential. Skills Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities.
