Job Responsibilities
- Assist in daily merchandising operations under the supervision of senior merchandisers.
- Communicate with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments (e.g., production, planning, procurement).
- Help prepare and follow up on order sheets, sample tracking, approvals, and documentation.
- Coordinate sampling, development, and production timelines.
- Follow up on raw material sourcing, inventory status, and supplier lead times.
- Support price negotiations and cost analysis under guidance.
- Maintain and update order status reports and relevant records.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality assurance through coordination with quality and production teams.
- Learn about compliance standards, buyer requirements, and industry practices.
- Frequent travel to manufacturing units for physical follow up.
Required Skills

About the Role As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will be involved in daily operations that keep our merchandise strategy on track. Working closely with senior merchandisers, your contributions will be pivotal in ensuring our sourcing processes run smoothly. Assist in daily merchandising operations under the supervision of senior merchandisers. Communicate with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments (e.g., production, planning, procurement). Prepare and maintain order sheets, track samples, and manage documentation. Coordinate sampling, development, and production timelines with precision. Research raw material sourcing and monitor inventory status. Facilitate price negotiations and perform cost analyses. Ensure timely delivery through effective communication with quality assurance and production teams. Engage with compliance standards and industry best practices. Travel frequently to manufacturing units for hands-on follow-ups. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Design, Business Administration or related field. Experience: Minimum 1-year experience, preferably in Buying Houses. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply. Age: 22 to 32 years. Skills Required: Strong interest in fashion and merchandising. Good communication and coordination skills. Basic understanding of garment production processes and supply chain. Proficient in computer software, including MS Excel, Word, and image editing software. Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
