Job Responsibilities
- Installing new Fiber Links, identifying wire and cable colors.
- Working with the latest tools like Tourch and Power Meter for maintenance and troubleshooting of existing cables.
- Operating splicing machines while learning to cut and splice fiber optic cables, locating problem areas, and performing other necessary repairs.
- Inspecting fiber roots and hub sites for preventive maintenance.
- Mobilizing resources promptly to counter faults and restoring links within minimal time frames.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call-outs as required.
- Possessing team-leading capabilities to guide technicians effectively.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of IP subnetting, Mikrotik firewall configuration, NAT, and port forwarding.
- Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network hardware (routers, switches, OLT, firewalls).
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to work under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of FTTx Network.
