Job Description
BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts) is seeking a passionate and dedicated CBCP Coordinator to join our project: Joining Forces for Food Security and Child Protection in Emergencies (JF-FS & CPiE). This position is crucial as we strive to strengthen child protection mechanisms for vulnerable children and youth in Cox’s Bazar district, particularly amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.Planning and Coordination: Develop work plans in collaboration with the Project Coordinator, ensuring alignment with the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP). Supervise CBCP Officers and Facilitators, preparing sessions on CPiE and youth engagement.Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to Inter-Agency Standards for child-friendly spaces and child safeguarding policies.Case Management: Facilitate linkages with the Case Management workstream for vulnerable children.Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly report on project implementation progress and challenges.Activity Implementation: Establish and strengthen community-based child protection mechanisms, ensuring compliance with minimum standards.Training: Design and facilitate capacity development activities for CBCP staff and volunteers.Stakeholder Coordination: Develop relationships with government officials and stakeholders to support project activities.Requirements:Master of Social Science (MSS) or equivalent in relevant fields.Proven experience in managing teams and providing training in child protection.Good knowledge of humanitarian principles and established international child protection minimum standards.Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Bengali.Experience working with vulnerable children and communities.BITA offers a nurturing work environment and is committed to the principles of gender diversity and inclusion, with a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and gender violence.If you are a qualified female candidate and looking to make a tangible impact in vulnerable communities, we encourage you to apply by sending your CV and a cover letter to the email provided.
