Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily items for buffet, ala carte, and banquet service ensuring highest quality at all times.
  • Control costs and minimize waste during food preparation.
  • Supervise kitchen helpers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in ordering supplies according to quality and quantity standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas.
  • Double-check the receipt of daily requisitions and maintain optimal performance to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Establish effective working relationships with coworkers and maintain personal appearance according to hotel policy.
  • Keep track of banquet guarantees and communicate relevant operational information to the executive sous chef.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.
  • Assist in inspecting all kitchen areas including cold storage and scheduled maintenance.
  • Any other tasks assigned by management.
