Job Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and quality analysis of tea samples.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve tea blends for product innovation.
- Monitor compliance with Bangladesh Tea Board (BTB), BSTI, and ISO quality standards.
- Prepare detailed laboratory reports, documentation, and quality assessments.
- Support marketing and product development teams with quality insights.
- Assist in maintaining raw material quality, supplier evaluation, and procurement support.
- Ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations and proper handling of chemical reagents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Management.

Job Description
One Direction Companies Limited is on the lookout for a talented Chemist to join our dynamic team in Dhaka, specializing in the analysis and development of tea products. If you are passionate about chemistry and want to contribute to the tea industry with your expertise, this opportunity is for you! The key responsibilities of this position include: Conducting chemical and quality analysis of various tea samples. Developing, evaluating, and improving tea blends to foster innovation in our products. Monitoring compliance with standards set by the Bangladesh Tea Board (BTB), BSTI, and ISO. Preparing detailed laboratory reports, documentation, and carrying out quality assessments. Supporting marketing and product development teams with insights regarding quality. Assisting in maintaining raw material quality and evaluating suppliers. Guaranteeing the safe and efficient operation of the laboratory. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Management. This position requires: A Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, or Biochemistry. At least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in chemical management. Adept market research abilities and knowledge of organic chemistry. Excellent problem-solving skills and a robust research mindset. Proficiency in Bengali and English. A willingness to travel occasionally for quality evaluations at tea estates or suppliers. We welcome both Males and Females aged between 25 to 32 years to apply for this position, and we encourage candidates who possess knowledge of lab equipment and chemical testing methods. Familiarity with documentation standards will be an added advantage.
