Job Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in cooking according to standard recipes.
- Prepare basic dishes, salads, and sauces as per standard recipes.
- Process and marinate meats and fish.
- Perform basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables.
- Ensure utensils and other kitchen equipment are ready.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and other compliance guidelines.
- Perform essential cleaning duties to ensure workplace cleanliness.
- Guide the work of Catering Assistants.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

Job Description
US-Bangla Airlines, the largest private airline in Bangladesh, is on the lookout for talented and creative Commis Chefs to enhance our Flight Catering Section. If you have a passion for cooking and a desire to create delicious food that surpasses our customers' expectations, we would love to have you on our team. This role requires a dedication to culinary excellence and a commitment to high standards of hygiene.Assist head chefs in cooking tasks according to established recipes.Prepare a variety of basic dishes, salads, and sauces whilst adhering to safety and hygiene practices.Marinate and process meats and fish appropriately.Support in basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables.Ensure all kitchen utensils and equipment are clean and ready for use.Maintain food safety and cleanliness at all times, following compliance guidelines.Carry out essential cleaning duties to promote workplace hygiene.Provide guidance to Catering Assistants and interns under your supervision.Other responsibilities as directed by your line manager.Essential Qualifications:Minimum education of SSC (Secondary School Certificate).Required Skills:Proficiency in various cooking styles, particularly Asian, Chinese, and Continental cuisines.Experience:At least 2 years of experience in a related field.Prior experience in Hotel, Restaurant, Resort, or Catering businesses is preferred.Other Requirements:Age: 20 to 32 years.Gender: Male applicants only.Training in Food and Beverage preparation is beneficial.Age and educational qualifications may be flexible for candidates with significant experience.Working Conditions:This position is a full-time role based at our office located in Dhaka (Uttara).Salary and Benefits:Monthly salary range of Tk. 18,000 - 23,000.Medical allowance and full subsidized lunch facilities provided.Salary reviews conducted annually.Festival bonuses awarded twice a year.As part of US-Bangla Airlines, we ensure that no hardcopy CVs are accepted, and any form of persuasion or reference will lead to disqualification.
