Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie (CDP) and Sous Chef in preparing and cooking Pan-Asian dishes.
- Carry out mise-en-place before each service.
- Cook assigned dishes or parts of dishes under supervision.
- Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Clean and maintain assigned workstations and kitchen tools.
- Practice hygiene and food safety standards.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and checking the quality of ingredients.
- Support senior chefs during peak service.
- Report kitchen issues to the CDP.

Tu Do Restaurant & Cafe, a modern Pan-Asian dining venue located in the vibrant area of Dhaka, is seeking a skilled Commis I – Pan Asian Cuisine to join our dedicated kitchen team. In this role, you'll work under the guidance of the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to create delightful dishes that highlight the flavors of Pan-Asian cuisine.Job Responsibilities:Assist the Chef de Partie (CDP) and Sous Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of Pan-Asian dishes.Carry out mise-en-place activities, including chopping, marinating, and stock preparation before each service.Cook assigned dishes under supervision, ensuring adherence to recipes and portion sizes.Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety throughout kitchen operations.Support the kitchen team during peak service hours and respond efficiently to instructions.Keep all workstations clean and organized while managing ingredients with FIFO storage practices.Conduct quality checks on ingredient deliveries and report any issues to the CDP.Requirements:Education: At least HSC with a Diploma in Culinary Arts preferred.Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a Commis role within a restaurant or hotel setting.Skills: Hardworking, punctual, strong team player, with excellent problem-solving abilities.This position is open to male applicants only, with a minimum age of 22 years.
