Job Description
The Society for Project Implementation Research Evaluation and Training (SOPIRET), a vital non-profit organization established in 1985, is on the hunt for a Consultant to conduct an end-line survey of a value chain sub-project related to the production and marketing of Safe Fish and Fish Products. This endeavor arises from our mission to empower the underprivileged, especially women, in various districts including Noakhali, Lakshmipur, and Chandpur. We have consistently aligned our activities with the needs of those we serve, creating meaningful change.SOPIRET is currently implementing projects across 33 upazilas and has a proven track record of social, educational, and financial improvements. We invite proposals from experienced consultants who are passionate about community work and committed to enhancing the quality of life for the rural population.Responsibilities:The consultant will deliver a comprehensive report detailing their findings as part of the project.An inception report must be prepared within 15 working days post-contract to outline the overall methodology and analysis approach.Develop a sampling frame and data collection tools that ensure robust results through quantitative and qualitative methods.Present preliminary findings at an online workshop to gather feedback from stakeholders, helping refine the final report.Produce an indicator table for tracking progress compared to baseline values.Compile a final report featuring detailed analyses, findings, and actionable recommendations focused on gender and youth engagement.Submit five hard copies and an electronic version of the final report.Incorporate case studies and success stories to enrich the report.All outputs will belong to RMTP/PKSF, and consultants will require prior permission to use their findings independently.Qualifications:A Masters in Agriculture, Fisheries, or related fields; a PhD is preferred.At least 10 years of experience in NGOs or related sectors.Familiarity with funded projects by IFAD/World Bank/ADB would be advantageous.Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills are essential.Fluency in English and Bengali, alongside excellent computer skills.Working Environment:This position requires work in the Chattogram Division, specifically Noakhali, Lakshmipur, and Chandpur.Salary and Benefits:Salary is negotiable based on experience and project budget, aligning with contract agreements.If you possess the necessary experience and passion for development work, we encourage you to apply by sending your proposal, along with your CV, to the Chief Executive Officer at the contact details provided before the deadline of August 31, 2025.
