Job Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial support through addressing the unique needs of the camps and host communities.
- Assist in implementing activities that promote mental health, resilience, and community well-being.
- Facilitate community engagement sessions to raise awareness about psychosocial well-being and the importance of mental health.
- Work closely with community leaders and volunteers to ensure active participation in psychosocial support initiatives, aligning with the social cohesion approach.
- Assist in organizing and conducting individual and group counseling sessions.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals and organizations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of counseling services.
- Conduct training sessions for community leaders, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of interventions, contributing to regular reports for the overall project.
- Prepare reports, case studies, and relevant documents.
- Assist in protection situation assessment to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and gaps.
- Conduct capacity-building activities for project staff and community people.
- Represent RDRS in coordination meetings with stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with external partners to enhance the synergy of efforts in the field.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the project manager.

Job Description
Job Title: Counsellor Company: RDRS Bangladesh Location: Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh RDRS Bangladesh is seeking a dedicated Counsellor to contribute to our Emergency Response Program (RERP) in the Rohingya camps and host communities. Since its inception in 2019, our program has been instrumental in providing humanitarian assistance and enhancing the resilience of the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) along with host communities. Responsibilities: Implement psychosocial support activities within the camps and communities. Address the unique psychological needs of individuals including women, children, and youth. Work collaboratively with community leaders and stakeholders to foster mental well-being. Organize and conduct group and individual counseling sessions. Assist in data collection and reporting related to project interventions. Facilitate community engagement sessions to promote awareness of mental health. Conduct training for community leaders and volunteers to enhance outreach. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Science and have a strong background in community psychology and NGO operations. A valid license for motorcycle riding is also required to facilitate movement in the field. Required Skills: Experience in case management and community mobilization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in high-pressure situations and meet deadlines. Fluency in English and Bangla, knowledge of the local Chattogram language is a plus.
