Job Description
Dohatec New Media is looking for a talented and experienced Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. Job Context: Manage the overall Database Configuration and un-interrupted performance of database architecture. Ensure the performance level, redundancy, and resource utilization of the database. Maintain system availability with redundancy that requires an understanding of SAN Storage and data replication. Organize and manage backend data and user access control to fulfill online application requirements. Resolve database-related incidents and requests while tracking them effectively. Review service-related reports on a daily basis and ensure any service-related issues are addressed swiftly. Collaborate with application development and network teams for required enhancements. Ensure database performance by regulating performance tuning, implementing new releases, and completing maintenance requirements. Conduct database migrations, installations, configurations, and troubleshoot as necessary. Perform regular database backups, archiving, and recovery as per policy. Support capacity development initiatives through knowledge sharing and training sessions. Document standard procedures and definitions for the data dictionary. Address daily enhancement requirements aligned with business rules. Job Responsibilities: Create roles and privileges for database users. Define data structure and policies to safeguard data integrity. Regularly backup the database and ensure its security. Write and optimize database queries, triggers, and procedures. Conduct data management activities, including migration when required. Assist the Technical Lead in the preparation of deliverables. Record transaction history for major business activities. Enhance system compatibility with newer versions of web servers and databases.
