Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across various platforms (Linux, Unix, Windows).
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations as required.
- Perform daily activity with Oracle 11g/12c/19c or later databases: optimizing indexes, memory usage, and handling locks.
- Ensure database high availability and performance.
- Design and document effective data solutions using standard SQL objects.
- Manage all Databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Perform Administrative activity on Oracle Form and Report.
- Maintain Oracle APEX application users and backup.
- Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard, RMAN backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor space utilization and perform capacity planning.
- Assist in data migration while ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Provide technical support to end-users and developers.
- Develop and implement database policies for performance and security.
- Perform regular security checks and troubleshooting.

Pridesys IT Limited is on the lookout for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) who is ready to take on exciting challenges in our dynamic environment. This is a full-time opportunity based in our office located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As a DBA, you will play a vital role in managing our extensive database systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across various platforms including Linux, Unix, and Windows. Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations as required. Manage daily database activities with Oracle 11g/12c/19c or later versions, focusing on optimizing indexes, plan management, and memory usage. Ensure high availability and reliability of databases while performing performance tuning. Design and implement effective data solutions using standard SQL objects such as stored procedures and views. Administer all databases including Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard, RMAN backups, and disaster recovery solutions. Monitor space utilization and conduct capacity planning for the databases. Provide support to both end-users and developers regarding database systems and applications. Develop database policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain data security and performance efficiency. Conduct regular database security checks, testing, and troubleshooting. Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervisors and management. Required Skills: Proficiency in Amazon Web Services, Cloud Computing, and Cloud Services. Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with team members. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Capacity to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Experience and Education Requirements: We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a software development environment.
