Job Description
Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd., a leader in the construction industry, is seeking to fill the position of Deputy Chief Representative. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing operations and ensuring the successful execution of projects in Bangladesh. This is a full-time role based in our Dhaka office, where you will work closely with the Chief Representative and contribute to our business growth.As the Deputy Chief Representative, your key responsibilities will include:Assisting the Chief Representative in overseeing the daily operations of our branch office in Bangladesh.Actively engaging in reflective supervision and reporting to the Chief Representative.Representing the company in meetings with government agencies, project consultants, and contractors.Monitoring and reporting on project progress, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations.Coordinating with local and international stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.Preparing essential reports, contracts, proposals, and official correspondence for headquarters in Japan and local authorities.Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in Bangladesh, including taxation, labor, and immigration laws.Supporting financial oversight, budgeting, and internal audit functions.Providing leadership and mentorship to local staff.Liaising effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.Managing and coordinating project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.Identifying business development opportunities and advising on risks and market conditions.Providing regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:A Bachelor of Arts (Pass) or Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree. A Master of Commerce (MCom) is preferred.At least 15 years of experience in relevant fields such as Engineering Firms, Consulting Firms, and Architecture Firms.Fluency in Japanese and English, both spoken and written.At least 10 years of proven experience in construction management, preferably in multinational environments.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills.Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Cloudia) and familiarity with Japanese business culture.We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and benefits as per company policy.
