Job Responsibilities
- Lead the Accounts Department to ensure errorless Accounting/Financial tasks
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Develop and manage budgets for various departments or projects within the organization
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date record-keeping of financial transactions in the general ledger
- Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer collections
- Manage Tax/VAT compliance and ensure that the organization meets all Tax/VAT obligations
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Coordinate and participate in financial audits
- Manage the organization's cash flow to ensure it has enough liquidity to meet its financial obligations
- Prepare and submit required financial reports to regulatory authorities
- Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, including setting goals and performance evaluations

Uttara Motors Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Manager/Manager for the Accounts department. This pivotal role is crucial in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and providing strategic financial insights to guide decision-making within the company.As the primary leader in the Accounts Department, you will ensure seamless and accurate financial operations. Responsibilities include leading a talented team, overseeing various financial processes, and ensuring that the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:Lead the Accounts Department to execute errorless accounting and financial tasks.Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Develop and manage budgets to facilitate organizational growth and project efficiency.Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.Ensure meticulous record-keeping within the general ledger.Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain positive cash flow.Manage all Tax/VAT compliance to uphold financial integrity.Establish and monitor internal controls for asset protection and compliance.Coordinate financial audits and ensure accurate documentation.Oversee cash flow management to meet the company's liquidity needs.Ensure compliance with all financial laws, regulations, and reporting standards.Communicate regularly with top management to provide up-to-date financial information.Implement and maintain financial management software to enhance efficiency.Perform other duties as directed by management.To qualify for this position, candidates must have:At least 12 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, particularly in the Manufacturing (FMCG) sector or in a Group of Companies.A minimum educational qualification of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting.Aged at least 34 years.This full-time role is located in Dhaka. The salary for this position is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
