Job Description

Job Context: Ambala Foundation is a reputed non-profit and non-political organization based in Bangladesh, operational since 1994. This esteemed organization works with over a million people and their communities across various sectors including microfinance, human rights, governance, health, education, and much more.We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic professional to join our HR & Admin team. As the Deputy Manager/ Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead our HR initiatives effectively, ensuring that we maintain a highly efficient organizational structure. Responsibilities: Provide generalist HR services across a full range of HR issues. Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes. Manage payroll operations and ensure compliance with labor laws. Coordinate employee engagement activities and training programs. Prepare official documents regarding HR issues such as office circulars and transfer letters. Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions to maintain a positive work culture. Assist in strategic planning for HR and embedding organizational values. Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) and prepare annual training plans. Maintain and update employee files and HRIS systems. Engage in various administrative duties including handling attendance and leave management. Perform any other tasks assigned by the management. Requirements: Education: Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Bachelor’s/Honors degree, or Masters from a reputed institution (e.g., IBA, Dhaka University, North South, AIUB). Experience: Minimum 8 years in HR with experience in IT Enabled Service, NGOs, or Development Agencies. Age: At least 32 years. Skills: Proactive, tech-savvy, excellent communication skills in both Bengali and English, and proficiency in MS Office. Should have knowledge of labor laws and compliance standards.
