Akij Resources is excited to announce an opening for the position of Deputy Manager/Manager—Legal. This role is vital in guiding our dynamic Real Estate and Asset Management Team. With a focus on real estate law and compliance, this position involves a mix of contract negotiations, legal advisories, and proactive risk management. Job Responsibilities: Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and MOUs. Ensure compliance with applicable real estate, regulatory, and corporate laws. Conduct legal due diligence on land, lease, and asset transactions. Manage disputes and litigation; coordinate with external counsel as needed. Provide legal risk advisory to management for informed decision-making. Maintain and oversee legal documentation and records critical to operations. Draft and vet notices, replies, and internal communications efficiently. Ensure timely renewal of licenses, permits, and compliance reports to avoid any penalties. Support transactions related to property acquisition, lease, or transfer. Advise business units on contract enforcement and compliance matters. Monitor legal developments impacting real estate and asset management strategies. Foster effective liaison with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and address concerns. Required Skills: Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills. Deep knowledge of property, corporate, and regulatory laws. Ability to conduct due diligence and manage legal risk assessments. Proficiency in dispute resolution, litigation management, and communication. Strong research, analytical, and documentation skills. Integrity, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset. Proactive and solution-oriented with strong organizational skills. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LL.M) required. Enrolled with the Bangladesh Bar Council as an Advocate; High Court Division enrollment preferred. 8 to 10 years of experience in relevant fields such as Manufacturing (FMCG), IT Enabled Service, or other related areas. Diploma in Land Survey and practical experience preferred.
