Job Description
SETU invites applications for the position of Employment Support Officer as part of the ‘Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE)’ Project.As an Employment Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the livelihood of the urban and peri-urban youth in Bangladesh. The responsibilities include:Providing career preparation and counseling to apprentices.Guiding apprentices towards job placement and self-employment opportunities.Building partnerships with local employers and organizing recruitment events.Tracking placements and ensuring a successful transition into employment.Documenting success stories and maintaining progress reports.Essential Qualifications:B.Sc in Engineering (CSE, EEE, Civil, Mechanical) or an MBA from a recognized university.At least 7 years of experience in the development sector, specifically in skills development or employment support.Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills in English and Bangla.The position is a full-time role which requires a passionate individual to work directly with marginalized communities.
