Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling during and after training.
- Help apprentices set career goals and plan accordingly.
- Conduct sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, workplace behavior, etc.
- Coordinate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification where applicable.
- Match graduates with job or self-employment opportunities.
- Guide apprentices on business startup and link them with financial and support services.
- Guide apprentices and YME in developing business plans, financial literacy, and basic business management skills.
- Build partnerships with local employers and industries.
- Organize recruitment events, job fairs, and on-site interviews.
- Keep records of job placements and follow up on job status and satisfaction.
- Maintain an updated database and track career progress.
- Work with MCPs, POs, local government, and others to create a supportive employment ecosystem.
- Maintain records, prepare regular progress reports, and document success stories.

WAVE Foundation is looking for qualified Employment Support Officers to empower and support youth through the RAISE project, a vital initiative aimed at enhancing earning opportunities for young micro-entrepreneurs and professionals. This role is a part of our broader mission to alleviate poverty, promote rights, and ensure social justice across Bangladesh.Job Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling during and after training to apprentices.Help apprentices set career goals and develop actionable plans.Conduct special training sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, and workplace behaviors.Coordinate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification when applicable.Match graduates with job opportunities or support them in becoming self-employed.Assist apprentices in developing business plans and understanding financial literacy.Build partnerships with local employers and organize recruitment events.Maintain records of job placements and career progress for follow-up.Work collaboratively with local government, MCPs, and other stakeholders.Document progress through regular reporting and success stories.Required Skills and Qualifications:A relevant master’s degree, with a minimum of one first division or equivalent CGPA throughout academic qualifications.At least 7 years of experience in the development sector, particularly in NGOs.Proficient in both English and Bangla, excellent communication skills.Ability to travel frequently across various project sites.Proficiency in MS Office.The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, adaptable team player who is passionate about social development.
