Education Requirements

B.Sc & M.Sc in Environmental Science from any reputed university.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize the factory according to local regulations and buyer's standards e.g. ISO 14001-2015.
  • Prepare policy regarding Environmental Conservation Rules 1997 and Environmental Conservation Act 1995.
  • Interpretation of Legal environmental requirements with concerned departments.
  • Implementing sustainability projects in the factory, including Better Work initiatives.
  • Conducting internal audits as per buyer's environmental standards and providing necessary training.
  • Coordinating with buyers during audits and preparing documentation for CAP.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs
  • Sound knowledge of OekoTex, OCS, GOTS, RCS, GRS, and Environmental laws and regulations.

Job Description

The Sterling Group is actively seeking a dedicated EMS Officer who is passionate about environmental management and compliance to join us in our mission to ensure that our factory operates in accordance with both local regulations and the highest international standards. As an EMS Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the factory's environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 14001-2015, Oeko-Tex, OCS, GRS, GOTS, RCS, and ICS, among others. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and organizing factory environments in alignment with local regulations and buyer’s standards. Developing policies that adhere to Environmental Conservation Rules. Interpreting legal environmental requirements alongside concerned departments. Implementing sustainability projects, including Better Work initiatives. Conducting internal audits and updating the factory according to buyer environmental standards. Coordinating with buyers for audit preparations and environmental compliance. Providing guidance and training on environmental management for staff. Engaging with key stakeholders to meet buyer requirements for documentation and compliance. Performing additional tasks as assigned by management. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications: B.Sc & M.Sc in Environmental Science from a recognized university. At least 3 years of practical experience in environmental management systems, particularly within the RMG sector. Proficient in English, both written and verbal. Familiarity with MS Office applications. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
