Job Responsibilities
- Ensure factory compliance with all local labor laws including working hours, wages, benefits, and employment practices.
- Maintain updated knowledge and implementation of buyer compliance standards (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, Accord/Alliance, etc.).
- Prepare factory for social, QMS, technical, environmental, and CTPAT audits.
- Conduct regular internal compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Monitor worker welfare, canteen, dormitory, safety, and medical facilities to meet compliance standards.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans (CAP) with department heads and follow up on closures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, policies, and records required by buyers and auditors.
- Conduct training programs on compliance, workplace safety, and labor rights for workers and supervisors.
- Ensure effective grievance handling mechanisms, anti-harassment committees, and worker participation committees.
- Investigate compliance issues, resolve findings, and track improvement measures and KPIs.

VIYELLATEX group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Executive / Senior Executive to join its factory compliance team. Key responsibilities (summary): Ensure the factory complies with all local labor laws, including working hours, wages, benefits, and employment practices. Maintain updated knowledge of buyer compliance standards (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, Accord/Alliance, etc.) and implement those standards within the factory. Prepare the factory for social, QMS, technical, environmental, and CTPAT audits and coordinate audit logistics. Conduct regular internal compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively identify and address non-conformances. Monitor worker welfare facilities such as canteen, dormitory, safety, and medical services to ensure they meet compliance benchmarks. Develop and implement corrective action plans (CAP) with department heads and follow up until closure. Maintain accurate documentation, policies, and records required by buyers and auditors; prepare compliance reports and KPI updates for management. Conduct training programs on compliance, workplace safety, and labor rights for workers and supervisors to raise awareness and reduce risks. Operate and strengthen grievance handling mechanisms, anti-harassment committees, and worker participation committees. Investigate reported compliance issues, resolve findings, and ensure sustainable improvement measures are implemented. Required skills and profile: Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a garments/RMG factory compliance department. Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 (amended) and associated rules and regulations. Proven experience with social compliance standards and buyer audit processes (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, Accord/Alliance, CTPAT, etc.). Experience in conducting internal audits, preparing CAPs, and managing audit closure processes. Good communication skills to interact with buyers, auditors, factory management, and worker representatives. Ability to analyze compliance risks and implement practical, sustainable corrective actions. Proficiency in MS Office and report writing; ability to maintain accurate records and produce management reports. Education & preferences: MBA in Human Resource Management is preferred.
