Job Responsibilities
- Fabric development for knit, woven, and denim categories.
- Evaluate and test fabrics for GSM, shrinkage, colorfastness, pilling, tensile strength, tearing strength, etc.
- Engage in price negotiations with mills and suppliers.
- Review and approve lab dips, strike-offs, and shade bands.
- Share color matching comments with respective mills.
- Provide technical expertise in knit, woven, and denim fabrics.
- Monitor Time and Action (TNA) plans and manage lead times.
- Follow up on bulk fabric from development to the shipment stage.
- Maintain daily communication with mills in Bangladesh for production updates and with the India team for approvals.
- Coordinate with inspection agencies to conduct necessary fabric inspections.
- Keep compliance with buyer standards and international quality norms.
- Maintain records of fabric developments, approvals, test reports, and inspections.
- Liaise with suppliers, merchandisers, and production teams to resolve any issues that arise.

What We Expect: A Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Fabric Engineering, or a related field. Experience ranging from 3-5 years in fabric development, sourcing, or technical roles within the textile/garment industry. Strong background in working with both local and international mills, ensuring buyer quality standards are met. Aged between 28 to 45 years (Usually Male applicants preferred).
