Job Description
Join UTAH Washing LTD., a prominent 100% export-oriented knit composite company situated in Gazipur, Bangladesh, as we search for a dedicated and highly knowledgeable General Manager of Washing Quality. This pivotal role is not just about managing quality; it’s about leading a cultural shift towards excellence in our washing processes. With a strong focus on implementing and maintaining comprehensive quality management systems (QMS), you will ensure our products consistently meet stringent industry standards. Develop, implement, and uphold the QMS ensuring superior quality standards for all apparel and washing processes. Supervise quality control inspections throughout the apparel production line including fabric quality and final product evaluations. Monitor washing processes to guarantee compliance with specifications on colorfastness, shrinkage, and overall appearance. Collaborate with technical teams for efficiency maximization while ensuring product integrity. Establish SOPs for processes to ensure consistency across all product lines. Stay compliant with industry standards, certifications, and regulations relevant to garment washing. Maintain comprehensive documentation and certification records. Conduct supplier audits and facilitate improvements based on quality feedback. Lead and mentor the QA and QC teams, fostering growth and development in quality practices. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing root cause analysis and corrective strategies for quality enhancement. Incorporate lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency. Experience & Education: Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in Garments or Washing Factory. Preferred educational background includes a Diploma or A Level. Additional Requirements: Age: At least 40 years. Strength in QMS tools, exceptional leadership capabilities, and technical expertise in manufacturing. Excellent communication skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong conceptual and technical skills. Compensation and Benefits: Salary: BDT 333,000 to BDT 432,900 monthly.
