Job Responsibilities
- Analyze labor productivity across sewing lines and departments.
- Estimate line capacity for new styles using sketches or samples.
- Provide accurate labor cost (CMT) and productivity forecasts to merchandising.
- Monitor monthly KPI trends, set benchmarks, and implement corrective actions.
- Re-analyze confirmed styles to reduce SAM via construction simplification or method enhancement without compromising sample aesthetics.
- Approve and release OBs, line layouts, and thread consumption charts as per production schedule.
- Rationalize manpower requirements department-wise based on target strength ratios.
- Collaborate with planning for style allocation, line/factory plans, and pre-production activities.
- Collaborate with factory manager for cut and finishing plans aligned with delivery priorities.
- Collaborate with HR for training programs (fresh and multi-skill).
- Audit factory lines to ensure OB and layout adherence.
- Review and approve employee production incentive reports.
- Lead new projects and suggest advanced manufacturing techniques.
- Research new machinery and systems, prepare ROI and cost-benefit analyses.
- Champion lean initiatives, implement lean tools, and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee sample development and engineering prior to bulk production.
Job Description
Position: IE ManagerShagore Garments Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic IE Manager to join our team in Gazipur, Dhaka. As an integral part of our production management, you will oversee productivity analysis and line capacity estimation to ensure optimal performance of our sewing lines. Your core responsibilities will include:Productivity Analysis & Line Capacity Estimation: Analyze labor productivity across sewing lines and departments while estimating line capacity for new styles using sketches or samples.CMT Estimation: Provide accurate labor cost (CMT) and productivity forecasts to the merchandising team.Data Analysis & KPI Management: Monitor monthly KPI trends, set benchmarks, and implement necessary corrective actions.Style Simplification & Method Improvement: Propose construction simplification and method enhancement for confirmed styles without compromising aesthetics.Operation Bulletin (OB) Management: Work alongside production to approve and release OBs, line layouts, and thread consumption charts.Manpower Planning: Rationalize manpower requirements based on departmental targets.Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with Planning, Factory Management, and HR to streamline production processes and training programs.Auditing & Compliance: Conduct audits of factory lines to ensure adherence to OB and layout specifications.Innovation & R&D: Lead initiatives for new projects and research advanced manufacturing techniques.Lean Manufacturing: Drive lean initiatives and implement improvement tools.Sample R&D: Oversee developmental samples and engineering processes leading up to bulk production.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Honors in a relevant field.Experience: At least 5 years in a related business area: Garments, Textile, or Buying House.Age: 30 to 50 years.
