Job Responsibilities
- Conduct site viability assessments for home projects funded through housing loans
- Prepare designs for construction/reconstruction and supervise implementation
- Evaluate financial capacity and sources of income for loan applicants
- Inform members about loan service charges and benefits
- Oversee maintenance of old or damaged housing units
- Ensure quality control in construction works
- Prepare contracts for housing loans
- Provide technical advice on safe construction methods
- Submit technical and recommended reports to loan department
- Assist in preparing monthly reports and beneficiary records
- Maintain technical documentation for loan files
- Coordinate with field officers and contractors
- Implement other tasks under senior supervision

Mousumi, a leading microfinance organization in Bangladesh, is inviting applications for the position of Junior Assistant Engineer (Civil). Our licensed microfinance operations are complemented by various development programs aimed at improving the livelihood of our beneficiaries.Responsibilities of Junior Assistant Engineer (Civil)Conduct site viability assessments for new home construction or renovation projects funded through housing loans.Prepare designs for construction/reconstruction and supervise implementation according to plans.Evaluate the financial capacity and income sources of members seeking loans and assist in preparation of financial documentation.Inform members about loan service charges and other benefits.Oversee regular maintenance of old or damaged housing units.Ensure quality control in construction works and proper utilization of building materials.Prepare contracts for housing loans.Provide technical advice on cost-effective and safe construction methods to low-income beneficiaries.Submit technical and recommended reports to the financial/loan department for approval.Assist in preparing monthly progress reports, technical evaluations, and beneficiary records.Maintain all technical documentation related to each loan file.Coordinate with field officers, branch managers, and contractors.Implement other relevant tasks under the supervision of senior officials.RequirementsEducational Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.Experience: 3 to 7 years in a relevant field, preferably in NGOs or Micro-Credit sectors.Skills: Proficiency in Auto CAD (2D and 3D).Age: 20 to 32 years old.Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to working in rural areas.BenefitsSalary: Tk. 30,000 - 31,600 (Monthly)Gratuity, Mobile bills, Transport Allowance, Provident fund.Partially subsidized lunch facilities.Yearly Salary Review.Festival Bonuses: 3 times a year.How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit a hand-written application along with their CV, two passport-sized photographs, relevant education and experience certificates, national ID, citizenship documents, and all other necessary documents to:Executive Director, Mousumi (Behind Red Crescent office), Ukilpara, Naogaon.Applications must be submitted by September 11, 2025.
