Job Responsibilities
- Providing first-line technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, applications, and peripheral devices for both hospital and university staff.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across hospital and university systems.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of support issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Assisting in regular software updates, system upgrades, and patch management.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi across multiple campuses.
- Ensuring network and data security via VPNs, firewalls, and best-practice policies.
- Administering email systems (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace), CCTV/IP cameras, and biometric devices.
- Enrolling employees’ fingerprints, facial recognition, or other biometric data into the system and managing access levels.
- Installing, configuring, and integrating biometric attendance machines with the organization’s network and software systems.
- Supporting and maintaining cloud-based services and virtualized environments.
- Implementing IT policies, enforcing compliance, and driving data protection best practices.
- Performing system monitoring, data backups, and disaster recovery procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications: Diploma in Computer Technology or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering. 3 to 5 years of relevant IT support experience in healthcare, universities, or corporate environments. Proficiency in backup storage systems, CCTV maintenance, documentation, and reporting. Strong end-user support and hardware installation skills. Networking skills and knowledge of operating systems.
