Education Requirements
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or a Bachelor’s in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in handling buyer queries related to product specifications, samples, and production status, ensuring professional communication under guidance of senior merchandisers.
- Support in the development of samples (development, size set, fit, and pre-production) and follow up with design and technical teams to incorporate buyer comments for timely resubmission.
- Help prepare and update the Time & Action (TNA) doc for each order and monitor daily progress on fabric bookings, trims, and sample approvals.
- Track fabric, trims, and accessories orders with suppliers and mills, ensuring accurate booking sheets and on-time delivery.
- Maintain regular communication with production units (cutting, sewing, finishing, packing) to monitor order status and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist in preparing order sheets, costing sheets, purchase orders, and shipment tracking reports, maintaining accurate records for audits and buyer inspections.
- Support shipment planning by following up on schedules, packing lists, carton markings, and coordination with logistics/commercial teams.
- Conduct market research on fabric, trims, and competitor products to support product development and pricing strategies.
- Cooperate with QA/QC team, commercial department, and production floor to ensure smooth execution of orders according to buyer requirements.
- Support in troubleshooting small production or quality issues and escalate to senior merchandisers for resolution.
- Ensure execution of orders as per Time & Action Plan (TNA) to meet shipment deadlines and buyer expectations.
