Job Description
Amana Group is looking for a skilled and experienced Legal Officer to join our dynamic team in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role is critical for ensuring our compliance with the law and for managing various legal matters that arise in our operations. As a Legal Officer, you will be involved in: Implementing civil and criminal law concepts and acting as a lawyer for our needs. Vetting property-related documents, providing opinions on contentious matters, and preparing various legal deeds and agreements. Managing litigation and documentation related to banking operations, drafting legal notices, plaints, and statements. Representing the bank in court in both civil and criminal matters, working closely with external counsel. Providing legal advice to relevant departments regarding daily operational issues and compliance with laws and regulations. Liaising with external legal firms and authorities to ensure timely and effective legal action. Conducting risk assessments and legal research to support compliance. Managing documentation regarding court decisions and maintaining accurate records of legal proceedings. To qualify for the Legal Officer position, you must possess: Bachelor of Law (LLB) At least 5 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a legal team of a bank or financial institution. Strong knowledge of business law, contract law, corporate governance, and dispute resolution. Excellent legal drafting, communication, and analytical skills. Age between 30 to 45 years and male candidates are preferred.
