Job Responsibilities
- Conduct livelihood needs assessments and market system analysis for targeted SHGs and VSLAs.
- Identify suitable income-generating activities (IGAs) for persons with disabilities and ensure feasibility, market demand, and sustainability.
- Facilitate and monitor cash and non-cash support distribution, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Design and deliver capacity-building training on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business planning, and basic market linkage strategies.
- Support development of business plans for SHG and VSLA members, in coordination with Apex Bodies.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to implement impactful livelihood initiatives aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities. Job Responsibilities: Conduct thorough livelihood needs assessments and market system analyses for targeted Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). Identify feasible income-generating activities (IGAs) that meet the needs of persons with disabilities, ensuring these are sustainable and in demand within the market. Facilitate transparent distribution of cash and non-cash support, ensuring all processes uphold accountability standards. Design and deliver comprehensive training sessions focusing on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business planning, and effective market linkage strategies. Collaborate with Apex Bodies to develop progressive business plans for SHG and VSLA members. Inclusive Approach & Participation: Uphold inclusive practices by ensuring that women with disabilities, indigenous people, the elderly and marginalized communities are actively involved in all projects. Implement accessibility measures and inclusive tools across all training sessions, communication methods, and field activities. Empower local leadership by mobilizing SHGs, Apex Bodies, and VSLAs toward enhancing economic independence. Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local government bodies (e.g., Social Services, Youth Development), educational institutes, and market stakeholders. Maintain strong cooperation with Caritas Bangladesh field staff and CBM technical advisors. Strengthen relationships with microfinance institutions and community-based organizations to enhance project outcomes. Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting: Gather and maintain disaggregated data regarding all livelihood interventions, focusing on aspects such as gender, age, and disability. Conduct regular follow-ups, field visits, and post-support evaluations while documenting success stories and challenges encountered. Submit concise monthly activity reports to the Project Coordinator and contribute to donor reporting requirements. Candidate Profile: Educational Qualification: Master of Science (MSc), Master of Development Studies (MDS), Master of Social Science (MSS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Master of Arts (MA). Experience: Minimum 5 years in a relevant field, preferably within an NGO context. The candidate should be at most 45 years old, with the ability to drive a motorcycle and possess a valid driving license. Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on inclusive practices and capacity building. Gender: Open to both males and females.
