Job Description
About PROTTYASHI PROTTYASHI is a dedicated social development organization responding to the Rohingya Crisis in Cox's Bazar since the onset of the crisis. Currently, we are set to implement the UK Resilience and Adaptation Fund (RAF) in the Rohingya and host community of Cox’s Bazar, with the invaluable technical support of Handicap International. We invite applications for the position of Livelihood Officer for the RAF Project, set to commence on 1st October 2025. Job Overview As a Livelihood Officer, you will play a vital role in fostering community development by assisting marginalized individuals, particularly persons with disabilities, in accessing livelihood opportunities. Your work will directly impact the lives of refugees and host community members in the targeted areas. Key Responsibilities Identify and select persons with disabilities in refugee and host communities following specific beneficiary selection criteria. Conduct baseline surveys to identify beneficiaries aligned with project objectives. Create detailed profiles of beneficiaries to assess their current and expected situations. Organize and facilitate non-formal skill training for selected beneficiaries. Encourage beneficiaries to participate in skill development and cash-for-work initiatives. Supervise the provision of input supports to graduated beneficiaries to enhance self-employment opportunities. Facilitate market linkages for livelihood activities, ensuring sustainability. Qualifications Education: Bachelor/Honors degree required. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in humanitarian response, preferably with a background in working with persons with disabilities in a refugee context. Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to conduct surveys and assessments, and proficiency in community mobilization. Work Environment This is a contractual position based in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar, with a commitment until 31st March 2026. Additional Information Monthly gross salary: 65,000 BDT. Regular traveling and communication expenses are covered. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in livelihood programming.
