Job Responsibilities
- Manage physical purchasing activities, ensuring timely delivery and payment as per the standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and prepare comparative statements for departmental heads.
- Communicate with various factories regarding spare parts and raw materials.
- Create a detailed weekly and monthly procurement plan for review.
- Issue work orders in alignment with the procurement plan.
- Handle all billing processes and forward them to accounts.
- Assess supplier quotes for compliance with standards.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on specified criteria.
- Nurture strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with user departments to meet their material needs.
- Support senior team members in procurement strategy development.

Job Overview:Quasem Industries PLC is on the lookout for a dedicated and capable Executive for Local Procurement to join our dynamic team in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role is critical for ensuring we maintain strong supply chains and operate effectively in our manufacturing sector.Manage physical purchasing activities, ensuring timely delivery and payment as per the standard operating procedures (SOP).Source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and prepare comparative statements for departmental heads.Hit the ground running by communicating with various factories regarding spare parts and raw materials.Create a detailed weekly and monthly procurement plan to be reviewed by your department head.Issue work orders in alignment with the procurement plan to guarantee materials are delivered on time.Handle all supplier billing processes and forward them to the accounts department promptly.Assess supplier quotes ensuring compliance with technical and commercial standards.Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and price competitiveness.Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to optimize procurement.Collaborate with user departments to accurately understand their requirements for materials.Support senior team members in procurement planning and development of strategies.Qualifications:Education: A Master’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Accounts, or a related field from a reputed institution.Age: Preferably between 25 to 35 years old.Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role within a manufacturing (FMCG) or group of companies.Skills Required:Proficiency in Local Procurement and Supply Chain Management.Strong command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).Excellent organizational skills and a problem-solving mindset.Experience with MS Office and inventory management software.Friendly, creative, and adaptable personality.Why Join Us?We offer a collaborative and innovative working environment where your contributions are recognized and valued.
