Job Responsibilities
- Ensure proper quality of fabrics (From fabric sourcing to shipment of garments) as per buyer requirements & management instructions.
- Resolve all kinds of fabric related problems as per buyer’s guiding & management instructions.
- Ensure that all test reports of fabric meet buyer’s technical requirements.
- Face buyers/ Auditors/ Inspections if needed to resolve fabric related technical problems.
- Support on any fabric issues, starting from sourcing, development, sampling, base test, lab-dip/strike-off/handloom, bulk testing, appearance, handle and color approval, garment washing, garment dyeing, etc.
- Co-ordinate with the merchandising, Quality, Sourcing, and design teams to understand fabric requirements and specifications for various collections.
- Work with fabric suppliers and assess their capabilities to meet our demands (as per management guidelines).
- Evaluate fabric samples based on color consistency, hand feel, composition, shrinkage, durability, and other relevant properties.

Looking for an exciting opportunity in the woven garments industry? Al - Muslim Group is on the hunt for a knowledgeable and proactive Manager/AGM in Fabric Quality to join our team. This influential position involves ensuring our fabric quality meets buyer requirements and maintaining effective communication with our teams and suppliers. Your primary responsibilities will include: Ensuring proper quality of fabrics from sourcing to shipment as per buyer requirements and management instructions. Resolving all fabric-related issues while adhering to guidelines from buyers and management. Monitoring and ensuring all fabric test reports meet the necessary technical standards set by buyers. Communicating with buyers, auditors, and inspection teams to address and resolve technical fabric problems. Supporting fabric-related issues across the development cycle, including sourcing and garment dyeing, among others. Coordinating with merchandising, quality, sourcing, and design teams to understand and meet fabric requirements. Working with suppliers to assess their capabilities as per management guidelines. Evaluating fabric samples based on color consistency, feel, composition, durability, and more. We expect our new Manager/AGM to have: A minimum of 10 years' experience in the garments, textile, or accessories industry. A Bachelor’s or Honor's degree. Solid knowledge of fabric manufacturing processes. Working experience with well-known buyers such as H&M, C&A, BESTSELLER, NEXT, INDITEX, and Kontoor.
