Job Description
We are on the lookout for an innovative and experienced professional to join BRAC Enterprises as a Manager of Operations for our Sericulture Enterprise. This role is pivotal in managing and driving the comprehensive activities of our silkworm egg production center and sericulture farms. You will oversee various critical domains including the cultivation of mulberry, rearing of silkworms, and harvesting of cocoons, ensuring optimal productivity and sustainability throughout our operations. Your main responsibilities will include: Directing the operations at our silk reeling, spinning, and weaving centers, while implementing quality enhancement measures that elevate product standards in accordance with industry benchmarks. Facilitating seamless integration and coordination among various silk weaving and fabric production centers to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the silk value chain. Ensuring a consistent supply of essential raw materials, such as cocoons and raw silk, to sustain uninterrupted production processes. Leading initiatives for staff development, focusing on technical proficiency and effective communication to foster a competent team environment. Formulating and executing annual budgets and business plans while overseeing financial accounts to ensure fiscal responsibility. Safeguarding team members from any harmful practices and establishing a supportive working environment that upholds the highest standards of safeguarding. Promoting and endorsing safeguarding policies amongst team members, ensuring these standards are integrated into every action taken. Performing additional duties as assigned by management. Required Skills: Expertise in sericulture project management and production processes. Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics within the sericulture industry. Proficient in strategic planning, fiscal budgeting, and talent management. Educational Requirements: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 from a recognized university is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates holding a B.Sc. in Agriculture or Textile Engineering.
