Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the maintenance team for both woven and knit sewing machines.
- Ensure all sewing machines (lock stitch, overlock, flatlock, chain stitch, etc.) are in proper working condition.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine servicing of machines as per schedule.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during production and ensure quick resolution to avoid downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure proper machine settings for various garment styles and fabric types.
- Maintain a stock of spare parts and ensure timely requisition to avoid production disruption.
- Train and guide junior mechanics and helpers to maintain high machine efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of maintenance records, machine logs, and spare part usage.
- Collaborate with production and quality departments to ensure smooth workflow and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety and compliance standards in the maintenance department.

As the Mechanical Incharge, you will be responsible for: Supervising and managing the maintenance team to ensure seamless operation of sewing machines. Conducting preventive maintenance and routine servicing for various types of sewing machines including lock stitch, overlock, and flatlock. Troubleshooting mechanical issues during production to prevent downtime. Monitoring machine performance and adjusting settings for different garment styles and fabrics. Maintaining spare parts stock and timely requisitioning to ensure smooth production. Training junior mechanics and workers to maintain high machine efficiency. Keeping accurate documentation of maintenance records, machine logs, and spare part usage. Collaborating with production and quality assurance departments for optimal workflow. Ensuring compliance with safety standards within the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will possess: A diploma in Mechanical/Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Textile Engineering. 5 to 7 years of experience in garment manufacturing or textile machinery maintenance. Strong technical knowledge of renowned machine brands such as Juki, Brother, Pegasus, and Siruba. Leadership qualities to manage a team effectively. Basic computer skills in Excel and Word.
