Job Responsibilities
- Provide quality STI and other health services to marginalized populations.
- Conduct differentiated HIV testing services (HTS) related activities.
- Perform physical examinations while ensuring infection prevention and privacy.
- Maintain medical records and prescribe medications as per protocols.
- Provide referrals for complicated STIs to government health facilities.
- Assist in counseling on risk assessments.
- Ensure clinical setup and equipment are maintained properly.
- Review clinic performance and guide staff as necessary.

Job Description
About the RoleBandhu Social Welfare Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide essential health services to marginalized populations, particularly the Hijra community, in Chattogram, Bangladesh. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering quality health care, counseling, and support in various settings including service centers and community environments.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide quality STI and health services to marginalized communities.Conduct differentiated HIV testing services including self-testing and partner testing.Perform physical examinations while ensuring patient privacy and proper infection control.Maintain accurate medical records and dispense medications following treatment protocols.Assist in the referral process for complex health cases and offer counseling on personal risk assessments.Ensure the clinical setup is maintained properly, including the availability of required medicines and equipment.Support monitoring and evaluation of clinical activities and prepare monthly reports.Follow stringent bio-safety measures during testing and client interactions.Stay updated with national health guidelines and adhere to ethical practices while treating patients.Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.QualificationsEducation: Diploma in Medical Technology required.Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a health-related field.Age: 18 to 35 years.Skills RequiredStrong communication and counseling skills.Ability to work respectfully with diverse groups, particularly marginalized populations.Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices in health service delivery.Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range: Tk. 18,575 - Tk. 24,147 monthly.Weekly 2 holidays, mobile billing allowance, and insurance coverage.Festival bonuses of 2.Application ProcessIf you are interested in making a significant difference in the lives of marginalized populations, we invite you to apply.
