Job Description
Masco Group, a leader in the garment manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced and motivated Merchandiser to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting in the development of products while ensuring quality standards are met. As a Merchandiser, you will play a vital role in our company’s operations. Follow up all kinds of sample developments and production processes with a high degree of personal responsibility. Chase buyers for proto and development comments to ensure timely communication. Assist the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to source trims and accessories according to required standards. Facilitate approval of trims and accessories from customers. Coordinate with factories on lab dips, yarns, and proto submissions while adhering to set timelines. Arrange PP sample accessories and proceed with the PP sample based on client comments. Handle bookings for yarn, accessories, and fabric. Ensure suppliers adhere to timelines for in-house trims and accessories. Oversee production according to approved time and action plans. Maintain smooth communication with buyers and suppliers regarding day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals. Organize and participate in pre-production (PP) meetings. Prepare initial costing for items. Attend weekly meetings with the team and cross-functional teams. Communicate regularly with clients via email and phone to foster good relationships. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering from reputed universities, including Bangladesh University of Textiles or similar institutions. Preferably applicants should be no less than 28 years of age. Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in the Garment or Textile business. Required Skills: Strong merchandising and marketing capabilities. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
