Job Responsibilities
- Advise clients on VAT laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Bangladesh.
- Assist in VAT registration, amendments, and deregistration processes for client companies.
- Prepare, review, and file VAT returns on behalf of clients.
- Conduct VAT impact assessments, compliance reviews, and audits.
- Interpret changes in VAT legislation and communicate implications to clients.
- Develop VAT-efficient strategies to optimize tax positions within legal boundaries.
- Liaise with the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and other authorities for client matters.
- Prepare VAT-related reports, summaries, and documentation for internal and client use.
- Conduct client training sessions and workshops on VAT compliance and record-keeping.
- Resolve VAT disputes and queries by providing legal and procedural solutions.
- Maintain proper VAT records, including purchase and sales ledgers, VAT challans, and invoices.
- Ensure timely submission of VAT documents to NBR and other authorities.
- Monitor VAT payment deadlines and prepare related payment instructions.
- Support VAT audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation.
- Stay updated with VAT rules, circulars, and regulatory changes.
