Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular eye examinations at the hospital’s camps and vision centers and analyze results.
- Identify and diagnose eye disorders and other visual disabilities accurately.
- Prescribe glasses and medication to patients as required.
- Provide treatments, including vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation.
- Assess patients’ eye condition before and after surgical procedures.
- Diagnose conditions such as diabetes and refer patients to other health service providers when necessary.
- Counsel patients regularly to ensure their ongoing eye health.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with patients to uphold the hospital's reputation.
- Adhere to additional responsibilities as assigned by the authority.
