Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records for power plant operations, including expenses, revenues, and fuel costs (natural gas).
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable related to plant operations, including vendor payments, utility settlements, and customer billings.
  • Perform journal entries for plant-related transactions and update the general ledger.
  • Prepare plant-level financial reports, including Provident fund and gratuity fund profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and plant-level cost analysis.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closures for plant accounts.
  • Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual financial performance.
  • Track and reconcile production costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses.
  • Provide analysis of cost-saving opportunities and process improvement suggestions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Handle tax, VAT, and other tax filings related to plant, funds, and company.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasting for plant operations.
  • Assist in financial planning and strategy for the plant.
  • Ad hoc assignments as needed.
