Job Description
The Social Marketing Company, a well-established organization involved in implementing health and family planning initiatives across Bangladesh, is on the lookout for a dedicated Program Officer for the Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) project. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective implementation of MMS activities for pregnant women throughout the country.Job Responsibilities:The Program Officer will operate under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator, focusing on the field-level execution of MMS activities.This position requires collaboration with SMC Star Network members, Gynaecologists, General Physicians, and Pharmacies.The Program Officer will also organize training sessions, supervise and monitor program activities, and periodically visit Blue Star and Green Star Providers to enhance their counseling skills.Organizing logistics for Pink Star providers and ensuring the availability of MMS products is a crucial aspect of the role.Coordinating with Government of Bangladesh (GoB), NGO officials, and other stakeholders to implement the program activities effectively.Additional Information:The role is contractual, with the initial contract for the project period, extendable based on performance.There is a focus on creating a sustainable business model to ensure the accessibility of MMS Tablets for pregnant women.We have a friendly workplace culture at our office located at SMC Tower, Dhaka.Qualifications Required:A Bachelor's Degree or Honors Degree in any discipline is mandatory.1 to 2 years of experience in marketing pharmaceutical products or implementing nutrition-focused public health programs is preferred.Candidates with a valid driving license and proficient in MS Office applications will have an edge.Must be aged 40 years or below; age relaxation will be considered for deserving candidates.Skills:Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.Good business acumen and the ability to work under pressure.We encourage women to apply for this position and demonstrate the power of female leadership in our mission!For more details, interested candidates can send a CV and cover letter to GM-HR and Administration.
