Job Responsibilities
- Detection, observations, monitoring, analysis and forecasting (40% responsibility)
- Understanding Climatic Risk (Knowledge Management) and Preparedness to respond (40% responsibility)
- Warning dissemination and communication (15% responsibility)
- Other responsibilities as assigned (5% responsibility)
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in GIS and Remote Sensing software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
- Computer literacy in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

CARE Bangladesh is on the lookout for a dedicated Project Associate to join our team in Dhaka for the project titled Nature Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh (NABAPALLAB). This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with communities impacted by climate change and contribute positively to their lives.About the ProjectThis project aims to enhance climate resilience for vulnerable households while conserving biodiversity. Your work will help implement innovative nature-based solutions in two Ecologically Critical Areas.Key ResponsibilitiesDetection and Monitoring (40%): Assist in developing frameworks for climate observations and analysis to guide smallholder farmers.Climate Risk Understanding (40%): Engage in climate vulnerability assessments and develop strategic responses to climate-related shocks.Information Dissemination (15%): Create user-friendly climate information systems to communicate effectively with stakeholders.Miscellaneous Responsibilities (5%): Undertake any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.What We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have:A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in communication or project management in the non-profit sector.Strong skills in GIS and familiarity with online data collection tools.Excellent communication abilities in both English and Bangla.Working ConditionsThis is a Full-Time position based in our Dhaka office, with an initial duration of 11 months subject to extension.SalaryThe position offers a competitive salary between Tk. 35,000 to Tk. 45,500 monthly, depending on experience.Application ProcessIf you are interested in making a significant positive impact and joining a dynamic team, please apply here by September 20, 2025.For mailing applications: Send your CV to our recruitment email.
