About RDRS BangladeshRDRS Bangladesh is a leading national development organization working for the underprivileged communities across the country, especially in north-west Bangladesh. Established in 1972 as the field program of the Lutheran World Federation, RDRS became a national organization in 1997 under the Trust Act. With a strong commitment to empower the rural poor, our programs focus on sustainability and resilience.Project OverviewThe TROSA2: Rivers, Rights and Resilience project is a three-year initiative (October 2023 - March 2026) funded by the Government of Sweden (SIDA). Our partners, including Oxfam and the Center for Natural Resource Studies (CNRS), aim to ensure riverine communities uphold their rights and improve their resilience to climate change and environmental impacts in the transboundary Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM) river basins.As a Project Officer (PO), you will be instrumental in facilitating these changes. Your role will encompass:Implementing field-level activities and engaging with community stakeholders.Coordinating meetings and workshops to educate and involve the community.Providing technical support to build capacity among community volunteers.Mobilizing local service providers in climate-smart methodologies.Working with government and NGOs to foster inclusive cross-sector collaboration.Job Responsibilities:Provide technical assistance in climate-resilient agriculture and biodiversity conservation.Report project progress and prepare annual operation plans.Engage key stakeholders in initiatives promoting water governance.Conduct workshops and campaigns to encourage community participation.Document and share stories of impact related to water governance outcomes.Key Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in related fields: Fisheries, Geography, Development Studies, International Relations, or Social Sciences.Minimum of 5 years of experience in NGOs or development agencies.Strong advocacy and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on gender inclusion and child rights.Commitment to working effectively with diverse stakeholders.Additional Requirements:Age: at most 45 years, flexible for experienced female candidates.Valid motorcycle license.The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of BDT 50,000 to 65,000 per month along with benefits as per the organization's policy, including transport allowance and mobile bill reimbursement.If you're passionate about making a difference in people's lives and want to be part of this transformative journey, we encourage you to apply.To Apply: Please submit your application through our online platform by September 11, 2025.
