Job Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head of Fleet regarding all administrative and record-keeping functions associated with the floating hospital ships.
- Maintaining comprehensive technical records and reports for the floating hospital ships, collaborating closely with personnel from the Fleet Management Department.
- Coordinating communications with the Department of Shipping and third-party entities for dry-docking, renewal of registration, and insurance documentation.
- Conducting technical inspections of hospital ships and preparing inspection reports.
- Managing procurement of supplies and ensuring the welfare of fleet personnel.

Job Description

This is your chance to contribute to the mission of providing health and humanitarian services on floating hospital ships.As a Senior Fleet Engineer, you will be responsible for:Assisting the Head of Fleet with all administrative and record-keeping tasks related to the operations of our floating hospital ships.Maintaining comprehensive technical records and facilitating communication with various stakeholders including the Department of Shipping and insurance providers.Conducting inspections and preparing reports on hospital ships and ancillary boats.Managing the procurement of supplies and ensuring the welfare of fleet personnel.Overseeing recruitment, leave management, and compliance with safety regulations.Key Qualifications:A minimum of a Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 3 or Class 2 in Marine Engineering or a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Electrical Engineering.Proven expertise in administrative and technical management with a strong command of computer literacy.Excellent proficiency in English, interpersonal skills, and a strong motivation to succeed.A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in related fields.On-board experience as a Marine Engineer is preferred, especially with an electrical engineering background.This position is full-time, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
