Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications using the Spring Boot framework.
- Engage closely with product/project managers, designers, and engineers to drive innovative application features.
- Write clean, efficient code while following industry best practices, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing software applications to optimize performance and functionality.
- Responsible for code reviews and providing feedback to promote high-quality code across the team.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and efficiently manage database interactions.
- Maintain robust unit and integration testing of developed components, safeguarding software integrity.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in Java and Spring Boot, and recommend enhancements as needed.
- Mentor junior developers and help them grow into skilled professionals.
Required Skills
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience in using Spring Boot.
- Proficient in Java 8+ and object-oriented programming concepts.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development, with minimum experience of 1 year specifically in Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases like Oracle or MongoDB.
- Experience with building RESTful APIs and web services such as SOAP and REST.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control systems like Git, and tools like Jenkins.
- Exposure to container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with strong communication skills.
- A proven capability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
