Job Description
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading NGOs, with a focus on responding to displacement, has been registered in Bangladesh since 2013. In response to the Rohingya influx, DRC launched an integrated program of support to the government in site management, shelter/NFI and protection. DRC started implementing aid projects in support of the communities most affected by refugee influx. As a key part of this effort, DRC opened an area office in Cox’s Bazar, and a country office in Dhaka. Position Overview We are seeking a Supply Chain Officer for a short-term cover. This role will be crucial for ensuring the procurement of program goods and services is efficient and effective, directly supporting our mission to assist those in need. Responsibilities: Oversee procurement processes for program goods, services, and works. Support improvements in procurement functions. Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team Leader to enhance operational efficiency. Engage with stakeholders to ensure best practices in procurement. Prepare procurement reports and maintain procurement records. Qualifications: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or equivalent in Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Investment in professional development, including a Certificate in Humanitarian Logistics and/or Procurement is a plus. Minimum 2 years of experience in the NGO sector, with a focus on procurement and logistics. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
