Job Responsibilities
- Maintaining and recording of transactions in accounting systems
- Maintaining the necessary documentation as per the books of accounts
- Maintaining of all the receipts and disbursements
- Ensure preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS, Tax & VAT regulations
- Billing/invoicing to customers; Assist in external and management audit
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the management
- Ensure that Tax & VAT related works are carried out appropriately in timely manner
- Ensure monthly/ half yearly/ yearly tax return; Assist VAT related works with the factory
- Follow up sales team for AIT certificate collection Liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary

Job Description
Standard Construction Ltd. is on the lookout for a methodical, intelligent, and proactive Tax & VAT Officer to oversee our various operations, including a factory and showroom for import & export. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintaining financial accuracy and compliance. As the Tax & VAT Officer, your primary responsibility will be ensuring that our financial activities are transparent, compliant, and optimized for efficiency. You will handle taxation related to our operations and contribute significantly to our auditing processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Maintaining and accurately recording transactions in the accounting systems. Ensuring all necessary documentation aligns with the books of accounts. Recording all receipts and disbursements meticulously. Preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS, Tax & VAT regulations. Billing and invoicing customers, assisting in external and management audits. Conducting and reporting on all Tax & VAT-related responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner. Completing monthly, half-yearly, and yearly tax returns. Liaising with regulatory authorities as necessary and following up with sales teams for AIT certificate collections. This position is designed for a candidate with: 2 to 5 years of experience in relevant fields including Audit Firms, Tax Consultations, Development, Food and Beverage A minimum educational requirement of a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Master of Commerce (MCom), or an MBA. Smart, presentable demeanor with strong enthusiasm and an analytical mindset. Proficiency with computers, specifically MS Office Suite and the Internet. Preference will be given to candidates who have an ITP Certificate issued by NBR and a basic knowledge of food products. The ideal candidate will be: Between the ages of 25 to 40 years.
