Job Description
Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a well-established non-government humanitarian organization dedicated to the advancement of impoverished individuals, families, and communities since its inception in 2000. Our mission is to create a more equitable society that values diversity and inclusion among people of all backgrounds, races, and abilities. We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Technical Advisor within our project titled "Partnerships for Improved Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH)" being implemented in Coastal Bangladesh funded by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP). This project, which focuses on vital health improvements, will take place across Amtali and Taltoli Upazilas in Barguna District from January 2023 to December 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our health services team, ensuring quality care, and enhancing the capacities of project team members. The role includes collaborating with government officials and various stakeholders to facilitate smooth project operations. Key Responsibilities include: Advocacy, Lobbying, and Policy Engagement: Lead efforts to address gaps in resources and improve health service quality through effective advocacy initiatives. Government Coordination: Serve as a liaison with health and family planning offices, ensuring productive meetings and information sharing to facilitate project implementation. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local governments, NGOs, and civil society organizations to strengthen community health initiatives. Technical Support: Provide guidance on RMNCAH standards and support capacity-building initiatives for health workers. Documentation and Reporting: Regular progress documentation and reporting will be essential to ensure accountability and transparency. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized medical institution. At least 5 years of proven experience in the health sector, specifically within NGOs or INGOs. Strong knowledge of the national health system and RMNCAH. Excellent communication, negotiation, and report writing skills in both English and Bengali. Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and travel as needed; a valid motorcycle license is preferred. Job Location: Barguna, with significant fieldwork required. Salary: Competitive monthly salary of TK. 71,000 along with other admissible benefits as per project budget.
